-Import the PRESETS for Eye Candy Impact 5- Perspective shadow
" ivice_EC5shadow_frame01"

in folder-->Plugins-->Alien Skin-->Eye Candy Impact 5-->Settings-->Shadows
(Or see a TUTORIAL in how to do this Here)

-Unzip the PRESET for Flaming Pear Flood
"ivice_frame_q8r" in a folder of your choice

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MAKING THE FRAME

You can use my already done frame DOWNLOAD IT HERE
and scroll down to GO TO the tutorial.

Or you can follow this simple steps to make your own with a graphic of your choice:

1. Open your graphic in CorelX2 - mine HERE

2.Effects-->Plugins--> filters unlimited-->BUTTONS AND FRAMES-->GRADIENT FRAME
Select a gradient from the GRADIENT MENU at the bottom of the window.
I used GRADIENT 45 with this settings. You can choose one that suit your graphic
and also play with the settings to get a frame you like.

3.Image-->CANVAS SIZE-->Resize at 575 x 485 Pixels
(A bit bigger than your graphic)

4.Image--> FREE ROTATE-->Right-->5 degrees

5. Selections tool -->FREE HAND
and we draw a selections areas to simulate a broken frame
Hit DELETE to clear the areas. Repite the process
of selections and DELETE until you have the amount of cracks you like.

6. When we are ready SELECT NONE
If you are using my graphic RESIZE just frame at 51%
If you are using your own graphic RESIZE Frame aproximately to 293 x 247 pixels.

THE TUTORIAL

1.Open a NEW transparent image 750x500px

2. Set your foreground to Gradient "ivice_blueframe"

3. FLOOD FILL the image with it.

4. Adjust-->Blur-->GAUSSIAN BLUR-->30

5.Selections-->Load/save selection-->LOAD SELECTION FROM DISK "ivice_001_frame"

6. With the selection active -->Effects-->Distorsion effects--> PIXELATE

7.Selections-->SELECT NONE

8. Selections--> Load/save selections from disk-->LOAD SELECTION "ivice_002_frame"

9.Selections-->PROMOTE SELECTION TO LAYER

10.Effects-->Texture effects-->BLINDS

11. Effects-->Edge effects-->ENHACE

12. Selections-->SELECT NONE

13. In the layer palette change the BLEND MODE TO HARD LIGHT

14.Effects-->Plugins-->Eye candy impact-->PERSPECTIVE SHADOW
Import and apply preset "ivice_EC5shadow_frame01"

15. In the layers palette activate RASTER 1 (layer at the bottom)

16. Layers-->ADD NEW LAYER

17.Selections-->Load/save selection-->LOAD SELECTION FROM DISK "ivice_001_frame"

18. Change your foreground to PATTERN MODE and select from menu "ivice_blue_brickwall"

19. FLOOD FILL your selection with the pattern using this settings

20. Adjust-->Sharpness-->SHARPEN MORE

Select-->SELECT NONE

21. Activate again Raster 1 (layer at the bottom)

22. Copy and PASTE AS NEW LAYER "sr_bkg_088"

23.Effects-->Muras Meister-->PERSPECTIVE TILING

24. Adjust-->Hue and Saturation-->COLORIZE

25. In the layers palette change its blend mode to SOFT LIGTH, Opacity at 76%

26. In the layer palette activate again RASTER 1

27.Effects-->Plugins-->Flaming Pear--> FLOOD
Click the red arrow and navigate to the folder where you unzipped the preset "ivice_frame.q8r"

28.In the layers palette activate the TOP LAYER (promoted selection)

29.Copy and PASTE AS NEW LAYER the frame we did in part 1 of this tutorial
If you are using mine already DONE FRAME - RESIZE at 85% .

30.Copy and PASTE AS NEW LAYER "ivice_dropwater"
and drag the layer one level down to be under the frame.
Low OPACITY TO 86%

31.Copy and PASTE AS NEW LAYER "ivice_metal string"
Put it into its place and drag this layer under the layer frame as well

32. Activate Raster 5 (The frame layer on top)
Effects-->Plugins-->Eye Candy 5-->PERSPECTIVE SHADOW
Import and apply preset "ivice_EC5shadow_frame03"

33.Repeat this Shadow again.

34. Copy and Paste tube "jet-face01-oktober-2007"

35. Image-->Mirror locate it into its place

36. Copy and Paste "ivice_textframe" or any text you like .Put it into its position.

37. Effects-->plugins-->EC5-->Perspective Shadow
import and apply "ivice_EC5shadow_frame02"
Drag the vector under the text .

38. Image-->ADD BORDERS-->8 pixels--> Color #000000
Image --> ADD BORDERS--> 20 pixels-->Color # ffffff
Image-->ADD BORDERS--> 3 pixels--> color #000000

39.With the MAGIC WAND select the white border and
FLOOD FILL with gradient "ivice_grayframe"

set

 

40. Effects-->Edge Effects-->ENHACE MORE
Effect -->Edge Effects-->ENHACE MORE (again)

And we are done!!!
